BWG delivers ongoing project monitoring and reporting to provide the Owner with clear visibility into construction progress and contractor performance. Our field reports document work completed, deficiencies, safety observations, environmental compliance, and risks specific to highway and bridge construction, supporting timely decision-making and issue resolution.
Project Management
BestWest Group (BWG) provides project management services as the Owner’s Representative for highway and bridge projects delivered under BC MoTI and municipal contracts. We support contract administration, facilitate coordination between the Owner, Prime Contractor, and Engineering Consultants, and verify compliance with contract documents, MoTI Standard Specifications, and approved design. Our role is to safeguard the Owner’s interests and support the successful delivery of transportation infrastructure projects.
Site Supervision & Construction Observation
BWG provides independent site supervision and construction observation for highway and bridge works, including earthworks, structures, paving, drainage, and ancillary works. We monitor construction activities to confirm compliance with approved drawings, specifications, traffic management plans, environmental management plans, and safety requirements. Our regular site presence allows for early identification of issues affecting quality, constructability, or public safety.
Quality Assurance & Quality Control
BWG provides quality assurance oversight for highway and bridge projects in accordance with MoTI and municipal quality management requirements. We verify that the Prime Contractor’s quality control activities, inspections, and testing meet contract requirements for structural concrete, reinforcing steel, asphalt, granular materials, and other critical components. Deficiencies are documented and tracked to support corrective action and compliance.
Construction Surveying & Drafting QA
BWG provides independent surveying and drafting quality assurance to verify that construction layout, elevations, and design documentation comply with contract requirements, MoTI standards, and approved drawings. We review survey control, field measurements, shop drawings, and as-built records to minimize errors, reduce rework, and support accurate delivery of highway and bridge projects.
